Fuel Sediment Bulb

Cast iron sediment bulbs were used until July, 1929 when they were replaced with glass bowls. The cast iron type was reinstated in January 1931 with slight differences. This example is correct for the second cast iron design for 1931.

Note how far the end of the fuel line extends beyond the brass ferrule. A common problem occurs when the fuel line is pushed in too far and blocks the flow of fuel.
